Dr. Lafayette "Fate" Thompson

President and Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Thompson founded AASI, the parent of iAdvantage Software, Inc. in 1982 following a distinguished career in both academia at the University of Kentucky and North Carolina State University, and in the commercial world with CIBA-Geigy (now Syngenta). Dr. Thompson possesses a unique understanding of the researcher's needs. A decisive, results-oriented, bottom-line leader, Dr. Thompson provides the passionate entrepreneurial drive behind iAdvantage Software. Dr. Thompson received his undergraduate degree from N.C. State University and his Ph.D. from University of Illinois.

  Dr. Ron Thompson

Executive Vice President

Dr. Thompson brings 30 years of commercial experience to his current position with iAdvantage Software. He was formerly Director for Biotechnology Commercialization at Monsanto after serving in International Product Development as a Manager of Southeast Asia in Singapore. He previously managed AASI's CRO business in Europe and is currently responsible for that company's global chemical and biotechnology CRO business. Dr. Thompson performed his undergraduate work at N.C. State University and received his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois.


Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Preston has exemplary skills in creating value in growth companies and companies in transition. In positions with both Ernst and Young and Southeast Interactive Technology Funds, he has advised numerous companies on growth strategies and capital raising efforts. He is the founder of Preston Financial Advisors, LLC. As CFO, he has helped organizations achieve their milestones. Mr. Preston received his B.S. from Ohio State University and his MBA and JD from the University of Maryland.


Director of Marketing and Sales

Diana brings over 25 years experience in Strategic Marketing, Sales and Distribution Channel Development to iAdvantage Software. She has successfully negotiated multi-million dollar OEM contracts with Global Fortune 500 Companies in the Data Communication Industry and mapped business processes to custom software solutions in end-to-end On-line Transactional Processes in Directory Publishing. In the 15 years of owning her own Marketing Communications Company, she has served over 200 clients successfully from concept to launch marrying business strategy with branding and pull-through media development. Her concept of Creative Media Integration was developed to lead her clients' customers from Vision to Decision.


Mr. Allen has had an eclectic background from the UK to Japan and most recently in the US. For the past 8 years, he has been working in the CRO arena focused primarily on marketing and business development. He has been responsible for promoting many technological initiatives in his career. Formerly Director of US clinical marketing for Inveresk Research ( now Charles River Laboratories ), Mr. Allen currently is Associate Director, Business Development for PharmaNet with a focus on Southeast Asian clients. Nick earned his BA in English and business from the University of Sheffield in the UK.

Mr. Rose has extensive experience in technology solutions and services, sales, marketing, and executive management. Currently, he is Vice President and General Manager for Dendrite Marketing Services, a division of Dendrite International, Inc. Previously he directed the company's entire sales and marketing strategy; built and communicated the strategies for their customer relationship management offering; and managed the operational aspects of a major pharmaceutical client's sales force automation installation. Prior to joining Dendrite, Mr. Rose served in a variety of sales and marketing positions at BOC Gases and TRG, Inc. Mr. Rose earned his B.A. in organizational management from Eastern College.

Mr. Leicht began his career as a salesman for American Communications, Inc., but after a few months of record-breaking sales, left the company to begin his own business, International Telecommunications Distributors, Inc. Following the sale of his equity in the company, Mr. Leicht pursued his MBA at Penn State's Smeal College of Business. Upon earning his degree in 2001, he was employed by IBM as the Life Sciences Territory Sales Executive in North and South Carolina. Annually, Steve received top IBM Sales awards and territorial responsibility expansions, to include Territory manager for the Carolinas South. Currently, Mr. Leicht is Director of Sales Operations for The Americas for Collexis.

Dr. Gugger was president of Syngenta Crop Protection, where he led the merger planning and integration. After that, he became President and CEO of Paradigm Genetics. Dr Gugger has more than 20 years of management experience including positions as Head of Global Business Unit Electronic Materials for CIBA-GEIGY. Dr. Gugger serves on the Board of Directors of the North Carolina Biotechnology Institute. He received his Ph.D. in Inorganic and Physical Chemistry from the University of Bern, Switzerland.

With nearly 20 years of proven performance in highly technical and competitive pharmaceutical markets, Mr. Neuville is currently the President and CEO of Qualyst, Inc., which delivers innovative ADMET technologies to the pharmaceutical industry. Previous experience includes Chairman of the Board and CEO of iBiomatics, a SAS company, as well as senior positions with the Americas Healthcare Division of STERIS Corporation. He also is involved in several local business organizations and is a frequent guest speaker on a wide range of topics, including business growth, change and leadership. Mr. Neuville sits on the Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium (CDISC) Board of Directors.

Mr. Leman has over 17 years experience as software developer and entrepreneur. He successfully founded, operated and sold three technology companies: Powerhouse Systems, Inc., Maptronix, Inc., and Metagenix, Inc. More recently, Greg formed Leman Consulting, Inc., which is engaged in various consulting assignments, including data quality and data warehouse architecture, due diligence in software process management for venture capital investors, business plan development, and web site development and marketing. Currently, Greg is a Business Planning Analyst with Oracle. Mr. Leman is a graduate of Wake Forest University.
